Vets, Businesses, and Nonprofits partner to restore a Baltimore neighborhood

The Oliver Neighborhood in Baltimore has become known for its poverty and crime. With an amazing 1000 out of 2400 homes abandoned, the Operation Oliver partnership has been formed over the long-term to restore the neighborhood and ask residents to "Come Home Baltimore"(1). On Tuesday, ABC World News Co-Anchor Chris Cuomo highlighted some of the work that two of the Operation Oliver partners - Come Home Baltimore and The 6th Branch, a volunteer network run by vets - are doing. In this successful partnership, Come Home Baltimore works to restore the homes while The 6th Branch works to build community.

The Operation Oliver partnership is truly amazing. It shows that we shouldn't give up on our communities and also the power we have when working collectively to restore communities.
