The tables have turned with "Operation Honor Cards" - this time, Americans perform service in honor of military families and veterans

Operation Honor Cards is just that, an operation, but its not meant to be carried out by our service men and women. Instead, this operation is to be carried out by everyday Americans who want to honor military families and veterans. Operation Honor Cards is the joint project of numerous organizations - Blue Star Families, the American Red Cross, ServiceNation: Mission Serve, the Points of Light Institute, Department of Veterans' Affairs, Corporation for National and Community Service, Joining Forces, and the Department of Defense. The way it works is Operation Honor Cards collects and tracks Honor Pledges of community service and/or physical "Honor Cards". The cards collected will be displayed in Washington D.C., military bases, and other public venues. To find out more click here or use the widget below to make your pledge.

Another nice idea to give back to the men and women that serve us everyday! This time, the collective service efforts help to create exactly what the program aims for "an atmosphere of "shared service" and a WWII sense of 'all give some' ".
